- Sawyer became the man he hated, and when confronted with the possibility of killing the real Sawyer, he struggles to do it even though it's been a life long goal. When he finally does kill him, he finds out it's the wrong man.
- Kate identifies with Sawyer, but seems to want redemption from the upstanding Jack. Guilt?
